Konica Minolta Bizhub C227 small black streaks on prints and copies
Hello,
the problem concerns a Konica Minolta Bizhub C227. An enduser has narrow black stripes and streaks on the prints. Glass plate is clean. No toner contamination. Meter count: 20K black 35 K color.
I think it is a problem with the (black) drum or transferbelt? What do you think?
Many thanks in advance for your advice. stainless2.jpg

The color versions of the 7-series machines, especially the earlier units, were notorious for prematurely wearing out the transfer belts which resulted in streaks. There was a redesigned belt, updated firmware, and an engine switch setting that was supposed to resolve the issue. That being said, the first signs of this issue were usually dual streaks on the pages from the calibration patches not being cleaned off the belt. That is only a single streak, but but does look like it could be a cleaning issue with the belt, so my first thought would be to take a look at the transfer belt before anything else.

My Ricoh knowledge is slowly dwindling away at this point. Many things have been lost to time...

I'll first check the cleaning blade.
But could you please tell me which engine switch setting you mean? Thanks again in advance.

The Engine switches will only work if the firmware is updated to G00-N5 or newer.
They have also made available just the cleaning unit as a replacement assembly under part number A797R74100.
