Konica Minolta C7000 replacing transfer cleaning unit SETTING TONER
Konica Minolta C7000 replacing transfer cleaning unit SETTING TONER
Hello!
I'm going to replace the transfer cleaning unit (with that a new blade as well). On the internet I see they are using a special toner: Setting toner Nr. 2 A50UPP0100.
But the problem is that I don't have this. It's really hard to find it or when I do find it, they do not ship it to the Netherlands! I recall that using regular yellow toner is not preferred because it contains a small amount of developer which could damage the transfer belt. So what else can I use as replacement?
Re: Konica Minolta C7000 replacing transfer cleaning unit SETTING TONER
You can use regular setting powder or yellow toner from another machine that doesn't have carrier mixed in.
If you are replacing the belt cleaning unit, there will most likely already be enough waste toner on the belt when you remove the old unit to lube the new blade anyway.

Hello wjurls, Thank you for your response! But doesn't toner from another machine also contains another carrier that will damage the belt?
I'm also replacing the transfer belt itself, so I will not have waste toner.. Maybe a super dumb idea, but what about 'lubricating' the blade with calc powder?

Hi Synthohol, thanks for your response. I was able to order a small bottle from Germany of that setting toner, so have to wait till I receive it. Better safe than sorry haha
Re: Konica Minolta C7000 replacing transfer cleaning unit SETTING TONER
i usually "blot" the whole side of the belt, turn it backwards a bit while playing with cleaning blade tension to allow powder on both sides of blade which helps prevent flip.
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
The medication helps though...
