Urgent Attention Required for IM C2010 Printer Issue.
[Error Code]
Urgent Attention Required for IM C2010 Printer Issue.
Hi All,
Since yesterday, we have been encountering an issue with the new color MFP model IM C2010. Initially, the machines displayed error code SC # 990. After updating to the latest firmware version (Ver. 2.02), the printer now shows "Printing" when processing certain documents or counter prints directly from the machine, but nothing is actually printed.
This issue has affected all printers of this model, with over 30 devices reported so far. We suspect the problem might be linked to internet connectivity affecting the devices.
If you have experienced a similar issue in your area or have identified a solution, please share your insights.
For SC990 updating firmware with Package often will not correct the problem. SC990 might require that you use individual firmware modules and overwrite all modules.

It's happening all of a sudden, and all printers is showing same codes. We're getting the complaints one by one from the client. Is there could be a virus attack !?
Also we've tried the individual firmware.

try checking the port used in Windows, usually when it is wrong on one PC, it is wrong on all.
you must verify that the pcl 6 driver is used, with ip port, not ipp
to avoid these problems I usually deactivate wim, wsd and visibility of the machine on the network always from wim.

I do the same as slimslob, the problem is not the firmware of the equipment, the problem is in the port with which it is installed automatically from w 10 or w11, it also happens to me with other models such as IM 430 or IM 501. Which throw codes like 670, 672, 990, etc.

Im repeat, check the driver type, and the Port that Windows uses, sc670, 672, are other thing.
PCL 6 Driver Ver.1.3.0.0 PCL6 Driver for Universal Print? PCL6 V4 Driver for Universal Print?
Was the driver initially installed on each computer or on a print server?
In here maximum affected printer's are using direct printing and few are used with MyQ/YSoft print server. All printers are using PCL 6 Driver Ver.1.3.0.0?.
To be more specific, firstly we tried with temporary firmware. But problem still exists. Then again updated the latest version firmware but remain same.
Machine show it's ready, when try to copy something or print a counter copy, it shows printing processing, please wait.
It remain same whatever we do.
Since you had every one of your C2010s develop the exact same problem overnight on the exact same day , I am suspecting that night they all received and installed an automatic firmware update that was corrupted. Most likely one or both of two modules, System/Copy and Engine. They will have to be manually overwritten either with SD card firmware or remote firmware using WIM.

When we updated the firmware with the network cable unplugged, the machine could copy and print the counter without any issues. However, when the network cable was plugged back in, the problem reappeared.

OK, so since the device works OK off the network you can rule of the printer being at fault. When you reconnect the device it is receiving a corrupt print job & hanging.
Try connecting a laptop directly to the printer via a patch cable, install the PCL6 driver then try to print.
This will help troubleshoot the issue.
